Fishing

Fishing

Fishing was introduced into Hay Day with the June 2013 update. Primarily, it allows you to finally repair the broken fishing boat on the river that borders your farm, and sail it to a brand new area where you are taught fishing by Angus the Fisherman.

There is an impressive amount of variety to the fish on offer, and of course, as you would expect, you are also able to create new recipes, primarily Fish Burgers and Fish Pies, with your catches. This section of the guide will explain how to repair the Fishing Boat, learn the basics of fishing, and will offer you some more hints and tips for making the most of your new resource.

makemoney

Repairing the FishBoat

First things first, you have to repair the old fishing boat that rests on the border of your farm. Once that’s done, you are able to travel to a new area, meet Angus the Fisherman, and catch all the fish you can handle by taking part in a new fishing mini-game. This feature was unlocked in June 2013 when Hay Day was updated.

To be able to trigger the repair of the Fishing Boat, you must be at least Level 27. For those of you who have been playing since Hay Day first launched, you should be comfortably past that point. For everyone else, this gives you something else to work towards and you will have to just farm your way through the levels until you are finally able to get that boat repaired.

Once you are able to initiate the repair of the boat, it takes 3 full days before you are able to set sail. Note too that it will cost you 39,000 Coins to repair, so get saving before the time comes!

Tutorial how to fish

The game provides you with a fishing tutorial through the persona of Angus. He’s a jolly fellow who you meet once you’ve repaired the Fishing Boat and sail it downriver. Angus teaches you the basics and gives you three free Lures with which to try your hand at Fishing yourself.

TIP: You can see Angus’s tutorial again by tapping him if you need a recap.

To reiterate his tips, you can start fishing in any open fishing area by tapping on a lure and holding down to drag it to the position you want to cast. This is the spot that you will be fishing in, so pick carefully (and yes, location does affect the sort of fish that you can catch).

Pick the area you would like to fish in once Angus gives you free reign

Once the Lure is in the water, drag it every so slightly to move it around. You want to fool the nearby fish into thinking that the Lure is really another fish. Before too long, hopefully you will get a bite. This is shown by a circle that appears around the edge of the pool and begins to get smaller and smaller, focusing on the Lure and the fish you are trying to snare. The fish will try to escape the circle – if it does that then you will lose it. You need to drag the line in the direction you need the fish to go to stay inside the circle – the opposite way to that which the fish is swimming in.

Once the circle closes completely, if you still have the fish inside, you will complete the job and catch it.

Note: Even if the fish escapes from the circle, you can have another go for free as you only lose the Lure for fish that you catch.

Lures

Lures are the basic requirement for being able to start fishing in Hay Day. They are designed to attract fish by looking like food. There are five different types of lure: Red, Green, Blue, Purple and Gold. Each of these has a subset of fish that it specializes in catching.

Lure Workbench

To be able to craft Lures yourself, you need a Lure Workbench. You can then produce any of the five types of Lure. The workbench is unlocked at Level 27, once you have access to the fishing component to Hay Day.

You’ll need some vouchers before you can craft any of the more advanced Lures

Lure Types

As mentioned above, there are five types of Lure that you can craft in Hay Day from your Lure Workbench. These are listed below, along with the time they take to produce and the Vouchers required to create them.

Red Lure

Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Requires: None

Green Lure

Time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Requires: Green Vouchers

Blue Lure

Time: 1 hour

Requires: Blue Vouchers

Purple Lure

Time: 45 minutes

Requires: Purple Vouchers

Golden Lure

Time: 30 minutes

Requires: Golden Vouchers

Note: For everything other than Red Lures, you will need Vouchers to be able to craft them. These can be hard to come by, usually from boat or special truck deliveries, mystery boxes or through the Wheel of Fortune. Gold Vouchers are the rarest, then Purple, Blue and Green. They can also be used to buy pets.

Fishing Scrapbook

A useful resource for helping you get the hang of fishing and earn your deserved rewards is the scrapbook. You can access it by tapping on the fishing hut. This records all of the various fish that you have caught and the rewards given as a result.

You can see all of the 30 different types of fish that you may have caught so far in the scrapbook. Whenever you manage to find a new fish type and catch it successfully, you should visit the scrapbook and tap on the flashing fish image to get your reward. Flip through the pages until you find it.

The reward you receive will be greater depending on the weight of the fish. Even once you’ve caught a particular fish type, continue on trying to get heavier and heavier levels of weight to get all the rewards on offer.

Access the Fishing Hut to look at the scrapbook

TIP: One of the most useful things about the Fishing Scrapbook is that it teaches you how to catch each type of fish. You will be told which lures to use to catch certain fish and in what area of the fishing lake you can find them. Tap and hold on the fish’s picture to find out this information.

Golden Trout

The Golden Trout is the rarest fish in Hay Day, and as a result many players have spent a lot of time and effort trying to locate it. Generally, the key to doing it is perseverance, as well as making sure you have opened up the vast majority of the extra areas available so that you can fish in the areas the Golden Trout prefers.

The best place to catch the Golden Trout is by the waterfall using a Golden lure. This is where most people seem to have caught it and gives the best results. You will need to use a Golden Lure to catch it, but bear in mind that you can easily snag a Greater Redhorse or a Rudd by mistake, which will still cost you your Golden Lure and waste the voucher.

The Golden Trout is most commonly found by the waterfall

Use the smallest circle to fish by the waterfall with a Golden Lure and watch for the movement of the fish. If it moves quickly (more quickly than any other fish in the game), and fights hard, you will know that it is likely to be a Golden Trout. If it seems sluggish and easier than you would expect, you are safer letting it go rather than risking losing the Lure

There is a variety of dishes that can be made using Fish, or, more accurately, the Fillet of Fish that is created once you’ve caught a fish. Below is a list of these, along with instructions on how to make them and how long it takes:

Fishing Expansion

Much like the expansions that you can purchase for your farm, you are able to buy expansions for the Fishing area too. Initially, various sections will be covered in fog and the only way to unlock them is to save up the required number of Land Deeds, Mallets and Marker Stakes.

Each section that you want to expand into will require a certain combination of resources – you can find out what exactly by tapping on the expansion. There is lots of variety to the areas, from deep and secluded to shallow and open. Depending on the area, you will catch different fish – so it’s worth concentrating on expanding into areas unlike too many that you have already.

Net Maker

The Net Maker is a building in the Fishing Area that you can repair following an update to the game. At the Net Maker, you are able to construct Fishing Nets, Mystery Nets and Lobster Traps. These make catching fish easier (so that they don’t require your involvement to catch) and allow you to catch Lobsters. See below for information on how to construct each one.

Fishing Net:
Time to Construct: 4 hours
Note: This allows you to catch fish without having to take part in the fishing mini-game. You can catch three fish at a time using the net.

Use the Net Maker to construct Fishing Nets and Lobster Traps

Mystery Net:
Time to Construct: 3 hours
Cost: 5 Diamonds
Note: This allows you to potentially bring up various rewards from the depths, including barn and silo materials and expansion items. It is costly though, and you may just end up with Fish and some not-very-good items for your diamonds.

Lobster Trap:
Time to Construct: 2 hours
Note: This is required to catch lobsters to put in your Lobster Pool

Lobster

Lobsters are a relatively new addition to Hay Day, having been added in an update after the Fishing Area was opened up. You need to repair the Net Maker and the Lobster Pool (you need to be Level 44 to repair this) after having reached the Fishing Area (by repairing the Fishing Boat) before you can start catching and cooking Lobsters.

Lobsters can be used to make Frutti di Mare Pizza and Lobster Soup.

To get them, craft a Lobster Trap at the Net Maker, which takes 2 hours. Then, place it in one of your fishing areas and wait for a Lobster to become caught. This takes 6 hours. Finally, place the Lobster in your Lobster Pool, and you will have to wait a further 6 hours before you will receive your Lobster Tail.

Lobster Tail is the produce item that can be used to make your pizzas and soups.

The Lobster Pool is the place to put your Lobsters so they relax happily and become nice and tasty

Hay Day Pets

Hay Day Pets

Pets were added to Hay Day in an update, but the game has a unique approach towards them – you have to save up ‘Pet Vouchers’ before you are able to get one. Pets include Cats and Dogs.

You can get pets by purchasing them. Dogs can be bought after Level 20, while Cats start at Level 21. You require Pet Vouchers as mentioned above, which are given out when you complete boat and special truck deliveries. You can read more on how to get Pet Vouchers, below.

makemoney

Before you are able to get a dog or cat, you first have to purchase a Dog House, or a Cat House. Once you have them, they will walk freely around your farm. They do require some intervention, however, and you will need to be willing to feed them once they get hungry. To do this, you simply tap on the house that you built for them and fill the bowl either with bacon or milk, for the dog or the cat respectively. You can fill the bowls whenever you like – the pets will only eat once they are actually hungry.

TIP: Having eaten, your pets will want to sleep. To get your reward for feeding them, tap them to wake them up. If you have a lot of pets, use the whistle to wake them all up together and get the reward all at once.

You are limited to 2 Dog Houses and 2 Cat Houses on your farm. Each pet house can have a maximum of three pets. This means, if you so desired, you could support an impressive 12 pets (with 6 dogs and 6 cats) on your farm.

Use the pet whistle to control your pets. Blowing it will wake them up, allowing you to collect your reward, as well as to call them back to their houses if they’ve been wandering.

There are four different types of Pet Voucher. These are Green, Blue, Purple and Gold.

How to Earn Pet Vouchers:

They are frustratingly hard to come by, at least when you are desperate to get yourself a pet dog or cat and don’t want to wait around for them! Luckily, with a bit of digging, you can get the vouchers you need for free.

The main ways to get vouchers are by completing boat deliveries and special truck deliveries. You are also able to find them in tool boxes and win them by playing the Wheel of Fortune. Of course, you can also purchase pet vouchers using Diamonds. When taking on a boat order, you are only shown the color of the voucher once it has been completed.

TIP: By far the best way to get Pet Vouchers is to fill the boat orders. Once you progress to unlock the mine, you are given special metal orders that can give vouchers too.

Production

Production
Once your crops or animals have produced their resource, you are able to process them. The crops and animals produce materials that you can still sell, but not for the same amount as if your process them into produce.

There are a wide array of buildings and equipment that you can purchase to this end, allowing you to turn the raw produce into a more-saleable item.Again, once the processing has begun, you will have to wait again before the end item is created.

Production Buildings
Production Buildings are used to turn raw resources, such as Wheat, into something more saleable, such as Bread. To see all of the construction buildings in Hay Day, click on the Shop menu, then the third icon down, which looks rather like a barn. Drag the building wherever you would like it to sit on your land. Once a building has been constructed (which can take a little while, again able to be sped up with diamonds), tap the present to unveil the fruits of your labors.

You begin the production chain by tapping on the production building, for example the Bakery, then dragging the produce, for example Bread, into the work area – let’s say the oven. You will then have to wait for the item to finish production – speed this process up if you like.

MIne
The Mine in Hay Day is unlocked once you reach level 24. It costs 26,000 Coins to repair, and a little while to wait. Once that is done, however, you are able to use the Mine to retrieve Silver Ore, Gold Ore, Platinum Ore, and Diamonds. All of which can be sold, or used at the Jewelers to create even more lucrative items to sell.

Unlike other resource-producing structures, the Mine requires you to use your Shovels, Dynamite and TNT to blast away at the structure and earn a random item. The only real use for the Mine is to get the items listed above, which do earn you a lot of Coins and XP once they have been produced, but on the other hand it’s a big investment. You should examine your finances once your reach level 24, but suffice to say it’s far from essential to venture into Hay Day’s mine.

Animals

Introduction to animals

Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of Hay Day is the animals available. They really give the game a lease-of-life compared to just having boring old seeds and crops. There are a large variety of animals that you can buy to help out on the farm, producing resources which you can then process, or sell on straightaway.
It is important to learn which animals produce what resources, so that you can understand those that are best to purchase for your farm. Animals are a big investment, so it’s a decision that you shouldn’t take lightly and requires careful consideration.

While crops do not require any care in Hay Day, unlike in real life to make sure they are well-watered, animals are more difficult to keep happy. You have to feed them before they will start to produce their relevant resource. Like crops, you also have to wait a while before you can collect the resources.

makemoney

The Basics

During the tutorial, you are introduced to the animal pens. There is a variety of animal pens available to you, each one supporting a particular type of animal. For example, the Chicken Coop, fairly obviously, will only hold Chickens. You shouldn’t try to put a horse in there! You can find the animal pens in the top-tab of the store, while the animals themselves are in the tab below, marked with the picture of the chicken. You unlock more animals and pens as you rank up and advance through the levels.

To purchase an animal, find it in the Store and drag it to the correct pen. You will then have to feed it. To do this, tap the animal (a Chicken for example) and and drag the food (a bag of Feed in the case of Chickens) to feed them. You will lose a certain amount of the food resource depending on the number of animals you drag it over.

Soon you’ll have a thriving community of animals on your farm

You will then have to wait for your animal to produce something tangible that you can sell. As with most things in Hay Day, you are able to speed this process up. Simply click on the animal and then the speed up button to do this. You will notice to the right of the time-remaining indicator how many diamons are required to speed it up. The speed up button is represented by a lightning bolt. You will have to do this for every animal you want to speed-up, there is no bulk option here.

To collect produce from an animal pen, click on the animal, then drag the item to collect with over them. For Chickens, this would be a basket.

Animal Buildings

Below is a list of the animal-related buildings in Hay Day. You can find these alongside the Field in the first tab of the shop:
Chicken Coop:
Home for Chickens [Unlocks at Level 3]

Cow Pasture:

List of Animals

Below you will find a list of the animals currently available in Hay Day. Note that since Pets were added in a later update to the game, these have been given their own section of the guide.

Chickens:
Available from the start.
Chickens Produce Eggs, which are useful in many items, particularly cakes and bread-based items.
The produce Eggs every 20 minutes that they are fed for.
They are housed in Chicken Coops and each Coop can hold 6 Chickens.

Cows:
Unlocked at Level 6.
Cows cost 600 Coins from when you first get them.
Cows produce Milk every hour which is used to make various dairy-based products.
Keep Cows in a Cow Pasture – each one can hold 5 Cows.

Pigs:
Unlocked at Level 10.
They cost 500 Gold from when you first get them.
Pigs produce Bacon every four hours and is used for various produce items, including Hamburgers

You have to house them in a Sheep Pasture, which can contain up to five Sheep.

Goats:
Unlocked at Level 32.
Goats produce Goat Milk, which takes 8 hours, and is used to make Goat Cheese.
Goats are kept in a Goat Yard, which can house up to four in each. A second Yard is available at Level 37.

Feeding your Animals

To Feed your animals you need to build a Feed Mill. This will provide you with the resources required to keep them from getting hungry. You can find the Feed Mill in the Shop, under the second tab down, which houses the production buildings. The Feed Mill works in much the same way as any other Production Building – simply tap it, then drag the bag of feed into the central bucket to begin production.

You unlock the second Feed Mill at Level 12, at the same time as the second Chicken Coop. You should avoid the temptation to build the second Coop first because it is cheaper. You should make sure you have the facilities to feed your animals before buying them.

Purchasing the Feed Mill first will mean you are able to build up a stockpile or Feed, then get the Chickens and keep them well fed for a long time to come.

Below you will see a list of the animal feed, and the composite parts required to create them:
Chicken Feed:
Production Time:5 Minutes
Ingredients: 2 Wheat, 1 Corn
Reward: 1 XP

Farming

Farming

The cornerstone of any successful farm, and of doing well at Hay Day in general, is to plant and grow as many crops as you can. Putting heaps of seeds in the ground isn’t enough to make money, however. First off, though, you have to purchase a ‘Patch of Dirt’, upon which you can dig and plant seeds. These cost just 1 Coin from the Shop. You are limited to the amount of patches of dirt you can buy, to stop people from just spamming seeds. More are available to unlock as you progress.

Once you have harvested a plant, you can then process it, if you wish, for something worth even more Coins. Wheat and Corn results in Chicken Feed, for example. This works the same way that you can process Milk, produced by any Cows that you may have on your farm, to make Cheese.

makemoney

The Basics:

You begin the game with three farm plots. Later on in the game, as you rise through the levels, you will be able to unlock more plots – generally this occurs by three more plots per level. You can purchase more plots in the Store under the Fields option in the first tab.

Tap on one of the empty farm plots and you are able to choose which crop you would like to plant. To plant, tap on the seed icon that you would like to grow, then drag it onto the plot in question. The seeds will then begin to grow! Each Field will produce two crops.

TIP: The fact that each Field rewards you with 2 crops means that you potentially get one to replant, and one to sell or use.

To plant new Fields, open the Shop menu. You will find Fields at the very top of the first tab. You will unlock three new Field plots at Level 3, which will be the first opportunity you have to plant more. Each Field only takes up one square of land, so you have to work quite hard to get a significant return on each one.

Note: The game will warn you if you are about to use up the last of a particular crop. The reason you don’t want to do this is obviously because you then won’t be able to replant it – instead you would have to use Diamonds or buy it from another player.

Harvesting

To harvest crops, in Hay Day, tap the crop that you want to harvest and pick up the sickle. Then, drag the sickle across the entirety of the crop. This will earn you both the item that you have harvested, along with some experience points.

Crops do not go bad if you leave them out, unlike in real life – you don’t have a time limit before you can harvest them basically.

TIP: Tap on a crop that has not yet matured to the point at which it is ready to harvest, and you will be shown the amount of time left until you are able to do so.

Just when you thought you had unlocked everything Hay Day has to offer when it comes to farming, you find out that there is in fact a whole other tier of items to buy, in the Trees and Bushes category! These are more than just pretty decorations, in fact they provide you with new items of produce.

Trees and Bushes

Trees and Bushes are somewhat unique, in that once you have purchased and planted them, you only have a limited number of uses before they wither and die. At this point, you can enlist a friend to revive it, gaining you XP and another batch of produce. After this, however, it will literally be an obstacle in the ground requiring you to cut it down to get back the space it occupied.

You can see the full list of these below:

Introduction

Introduction

The basic story behind Hay Day is that your uncle has, unfortunately, decided to retire. We say unfortunately but if he wasn’t then there’d be no farm for you to inherit, so this cloud has a silver-lining. Your initial plot of land contains just a house, a barn, and a silo. The ground itself is littered with trees and rocks, which makes it seem like an unlikely spot for a fertile farm, but that’s before you get to work on it.

As you may have gathered, the plot to the game involves you upgrading the farm and making into a fruitful, money-making business. The game allows you to clear land, buy new buildings, animals, crops and generally everything you would expect when it comes to the life of a farmer.

Hay Day features two distinct types of currency. These are Diamond and Coins. Each has its own use, though Diamonds are considerably more valuable than the everyday, run-of-the-mill Coins.

As you begin your journey into Hay Day you will be guided along by a friendly scarecrow. He will teach you the simple things in the game and make sure you get past Level 3 without any major issues.

For starters, there is a brief section where you are required to paint your buildings. You are able to paint your house by tapping it, then dragging the paint brush across it. This also applies to the other starting buildings in the game, so don’t be afraid to give them a lick of paint. This will also remove the debris and muck that surrounds your buildings early on.

Naming Your Farm:

During the tutorial you will be introduced to a new character paying a visit to your land. Tap him and you will be asked to input the name of your farm. This can be anything you like, but be aware that this is how other players will identify your farm, so nothing too ridiculous!

TIP: If you choose a name that you later regret, however, you are able to change it. Simply tap the settings menu by selecting the cog icon in the top left-hand corner of the screen, then choose ‘Change Farm Name’.

Moving and Changing Objects:

You can alter, move and remove an object by tapping and holding it. Then, you can rotate it using the arrow signs, remove it by using the trash can icon, or move it around, simply by dragging it.

Diamonds

Diamonds are the premium currency in Hay Day. This means that generally, the way to acquire them is to buy them with real money. This won’t be for everyone. Some gamers will want to just download the game for free and never pay a penny to Supercell, but this does put you at a severe disadvantage and means you require far, far more patience to succeed than those willing to splash the cash. Diamons can, for example, be used to rush buildings through production, reduce waiting times to harvest, and so on – it’s easy to see the attraction of buying these to help your advancement in the game. Especially if it helps you compete with your friends!

You currently begin the game with 30 Diamonds.

How to Earn Free Diamonds:

Getting free Diamonds in Hay Day is much simpler than it has been in other ‘social’ games, where premium currencies are tightly controlled. Below is a list of all the ways to get free Diamonds in Hay Day, along with a guide providing more information on each one.
Getting free Diamonds in Hay Day is much simpler than it has been in other ‘social’ games, where premium currencies are tightly controlled. Below is a list of all the ways to get free Diamonds in Hay Day, along with a guide providing more information on each one.

– Every time you level up, you will receive 1 or 2 Diamonds. This will become the staple of your diamond supply, so is not to be sniffed at.

– You receive 1 Diamond from following Hay Day on Facebook.

– Login to Facebook using Hay Day to get 5 Diamonds

– You can get 2 free Diamonds for disovering a movie ticket and watching a 30 second trailer for another game.

– Diamonds are unearthed randomly when you search through mystery boxes.

– You can get Diamonds through mining once you reach Level 24.

– Complete an achievement to earn a Diamond.

– Finally, enter competitions from Supercell when contests are held on their Facebook page.

Speeding Up Production:

It is possible to speed up production in Hay Day by tapping the object. You will see the amount of time remaining in the bar at the bottom of the screen, and the cost of speeding it up represented by the diamond icon to the right. Click the lightning bolt symbol to confirm that you would like to spend those diamonds, if you have them, on rushing the production.

COINS

Coins are the everday currency in this game. You will use them to buy pretty much everything in Hay Day apart from the scarce, premium items which tend to give you an advantage, or set you apart from your friends’ farms. Fortunately, as they are needed so frequently (mainly to buy livestock and equipment for your farm), Hay Day’s Coins are easy to collect. It will take a long time before you have as many as you might want, but they are earned through most actions.

You get Coins primarily from selling the produce that your farm produces. While the main currency to buy with your actualy money will be Diamonds, you can also buy Coins should you be running low.

How to Earn Coins

The best and main way to earn Coins in Hay Day is to sell your produce. See the section of this guide entitled ‘Selling Your Produce’ for more information on that. You can also purchase Coins using real money, should you so wish, and buy other players’ items to sell on again later, hopefully for a profit!

Hay Day Guide

Game Introduction – Hay Day

Hay Day is a farming simulation game from Supercell in which you will build a farm, tend crops, and earn lots of money in the process. Making sure you have a farm that can cut the mustard can make all the difference in a game like this, but with our quick start guide you’ll have all of the tips, tricks, vanguard hack and walkthroughs you’ll need to stay ahead of the game.

Quick Start Guide

Getting Started

Hay Day

  • To get playing Hay Day as quickly as possible, go ahead and click on the “Play Now” button at the top of this screen. The game is a free download, so there is absolutely no risk to trying it out for yourself.
  • You will need an active internet connection in order to play Hay Day, so make sure yours is stable before attempting to play the game.
  • Once you’ve started the game, an introduction video will play showing you what to expect from the game including the setting and goals.

Hay Day

  • Eventually you will meet Mr. Wicker, a scarecrow that will help guide you through the game and build your farm.

Building and Managing your Farm

Hay Day

  • At this point is where you will start building and managing your farm, so let’s go over how to do so.
  • One of the first actions we will need to learn how to do is harvest crops. To harvest crops, all you have to do is tap on them when they are fully-grown.

makemoney
Hay Day

  • Once they’re fully grown, tap on one square of crop and then on the scythe icon that pops up.  You can hold on the scythe and then drag across the entire group of crops to harvest an entire group of crops at once.

Hay Day

  • Planting crops is done largely the same way. Tap on an empty plot, and then on one of the available crops. You can then drag the crop around the plots until all of the empty plots have seeds planted in them.
  • Once a crop fully grows, it will multiply the supply you own, so you will always be making money on each crop you plant. Always make sure to have crops growing, even if you won’t have time to harvest them for a while.

Hay Day

  • You can customize some of the buildings that are around the farm. The farmhouse can be painted by tapping on it, and then on the paint brush icon. Dragging the icon over the house will completely paint it, giving it a fresh look in the process.
  • You can then take these painting skills and use them in several of the buildings scattered throughout the farm. If you don’t like the color or look of some of the buildings, try painting them as an alternative.
  • Having barnyard animals on your farm is a crucial point of success, so let’s go over how to buy them.
  • There will be an animal pen located on your farm. Tap on it to access the animal store menu.

Hay Day

  • From here, there will be various tabs you can pick from with plenty of items to choose from.
  • In the animal section of the store, you can purchase several different types of animals including chickens, cows, pigs, sheep and more.
  • To buy an animal, tap on it in the store and then drag it to the animal pen. This will buy the animal and place it in your pen automatically.
  • Simply having animals is just one aspect necessary to keeping animals; you have to feed them to keep them around.
  • To feed animals, tap on the hut within the pen.

Hay Day

  • From there, you can tap and drag on the feed to feed it to your animals. When your animals are fed, they are more likely to produce eggs and be happier in the process.
  • Chickens will produce eggs for you, but it will take time to complete. If you do not wish to wait for chickens to lay eggs, you can speed up the process using Diamonds.
  • When the eggs have been laid, you will need to collect them with the basket. You can access and use the basket from the hut inside the pen just as you did with the feed and then drag it across the chickens to collect the eggs.
  • What you do with your crops and eggs is up to you, but one of the things you can do with them is create baked goods in the bakery. Let’s go over how to build a bakery that you can use to make more money for your farm.

Hay Day

  • Tap on the cash register icon in the bottom left corner of the screen. From here, you can tap on the buildings tab (third option down) and then drag the Bakery out to your farm.
  • Once the bakery has been placed, you can drag bread into it so that it can bake it and create XP and coins that will allow you to enhance your farm in the future.
  • If you ever get stuck and are unsure which action to complete next, you can always check back with Mr. Wicker. Mr. Wicker will often have helpful advice you can follow so that you can make sure you’re always making the best decision possible.
  • Another additional way to make money is via the delivery truck. The billboard that can be found on your farm will have orders available on it.
