Below are the Hobbit: Kingdoms of the Middle Earth Tips
1. Take Advantage of the Share Feature and Get a Token The Hobbit Kingdoms of Middle Earth Tips Here’s a tip that will grant you a token – hit up the “Share” tab, click on “E-Mail,” cancel out then save. If your proceed to do this method 10 times once a day, you’ll be granted some in-game tokens.
2. Build As Much As Possible During The Game’s Protection Period The Hobbit Kingdoms of Middle Earth Tips When the game enters the Protection period, make sure you take the time to tend to the base construction of your city. Take this period and make sure to focus on building up a good amount of homes and barracks etc. The Protection period will grant you the time to strengthen your soon-to-be empire.
3. Refrain from Building Up Your Army When You Get Your Barracks Up AndroidEntity.com posted up some tips on when it’s best to build up your troops: Don’t start building up your army as soon as you get your barracks up, this is just nonsense! You can’t be attacked and can’t attack during the first 7 days, so there’s no need to have troops just eating your food. Start heavy training of troops when there are 2 days left of protection:
4 barracks of highest possible level should be enough to turn you into a force once you’re out of protection! 4. Make Sure You Keep Your Troops Hidden The Hobbit Kingdoms of Middle Earth Cheats AndroidEntity.com also spoke about making sure you keep your troops hidden: Hide your troops! From the keep, you can select if you should keep your troops hidden (no losses if you get attacked) or not. Hidden troops are better at first when big cities will start to farm on you and there’s no point in losing them – it will be even harder to build them afterwards! So build up a decent army first, and only afterwards start defending your city and never hide them again!
5. Join Up With An Alliance Once Your Protection Period Runs Out The Hobbit Kingdoms of Middle Earth Tips Once your Protection period comes to a close, you’re now open to being attacked by goblins and other nasty Middle-Earth baddies. The best way to guarantee your safety and your empire’s longevity is by joining up with an alliance. Try and hook up with aggressive alliances that are marked by a high “High Troops Killed” ranking. For those players who prefer the diplomatic aspects of the game, join up with an alliance that tries to talk more than immediately entering a battle. 6. Build Up More Homes for More Gold and Future Soldiers One smart way to grant yourself more gold and soldiers is by putting several houses around your city. Adopt a bunch of houses, out in lower tax rates and your gold intake will be larger than usual. The money and resources you end up nabbing from your housing operation means more money to spend on empire building and resources for soldiers.
7. The Basics Behind The Might System The Hobbit Kingdoms of Middle Earth Tips A HubPages.com post explained the importance of Might when it comes to ranking players: Players are ranked in the game by their Might. Might is based on the number and level of troops you have in your city. For example each Porter is worth 1 might. A porter is a transport troop and does not do any fighting. It is also the only transport troop to have any might at all. Carts and Wagons do not have might, but you need them to transport resources between cities. Tier 1 troops have 4 might per unit. They also consume 4 food per turn (this is why you need to build resource fields early). Tier 2 troops have 16 might per unit, and only cost 8 food per turn. And finally Tier 3 troops have 24 might per unit and cost 16 food per turn. As you can see it is advantageous to build higher level troops. You unlock new troops by researching topics in the game. When you ‘fight’ another player in the game you are pitting your troops against theirs. The player with the most might typically wins, although Hero level plays a large factor in who wins. I’ll explain more about that a bit later.
8. Refrain From Building Up Large Wall Defenses The HubPages.com post also spoke about limiting the number of huge wall defenses you want to construct: Avoid building up large wall defenses. They are not very strong and and provide “false might.” Players who go for high TKs (Troops Killed) search for players who have walls to take down. Just build a couple hundred of each wall troop to prevent cart attacks.
9. Make It Rain! When you’re in the Global or Alliance chat, type in the phrase, “A storm is brewing” and post it up. Once it’s been posted, exit the chat screen and you’ll notice that it’s raining in your city. If you’re looking to stop the rain, then type in the phrase, “No more rain.” Note that this phrase trick only works during the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons (in real time).
10. Then Make It Snow! Are you looking to make it snow instead of rain? Hit up the Global or Alliance chat system and type in the phrase, “Let it snow.” Are you looking to stop the snow? Then go ahead and type in, “No more snow.”

All Frequently Asked Questions [FAQs] will be posted in future updates of this document. .---------------------------------. ------| The Game (A.K.A The Walkthrough |---------------------[HKMEW03]------ '---------------------------------' Introduction [Walk3.1]------ ------------- Lets begin the walkthrough by introducing myself. My name is Kambel and I enjoy creating guides and walkthroughs that help other succeed in playing various games. Now, I would like to thank you for choosing my walkthrough as your how-to guide. I'me very pleased. Before we start on the game's step-by-step, I would like to mention that this game is highly addictive. If you do not wish to be hooked on this game, feel free to delete the app. If you are brave enough to try it, then welcome to the awesome Strategy game known as The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-Earth. This game itself is not recommeneded for players under the age of 14 as there will be offensive content in the game. Starting a game [Walk3.2]------ ---------------- Before starting a game, you will be asked to select what Faction you wish to be. You can choose to be an Elf or a Dwarf. Once you have selected your faction, the game can commence. Remember, once you start the game, you will be under Beginner's Protection, this will last for 7 days or until your Keep reches level 5. I would not upgrade my keep to level 5 until a few minutes before your Beginner's Protect runs out. This way you will be given 7 days to build your city before you are vulnerable to attacks. But we will discuss this later on. Now to start a game, you will have to follow the in-game tutorial. You can turn off the tutorial later on. Once you have finished the tutorial, the first thing you should do is to give yourself a new name. To change your screen name, you must click the "Level/Might/Name" button found on the city screen in the top left-hand corner. Once you have opened it up, a new screen will appear. This creen will have three tabs. The tabs are "Details" "Cities" and "World". The main screen will have the "Details" tab open. The other two tabs we will discuss later on. If you look near the bottom of this screen, you should see a white bar. Click on this. Now insert the screen name you wish to use for yourself. Once done, press the "Use" button. Congrats, you have just changed your name. Now, the next thing we need to do is build some houses for your townspeople. To do so, click on an empty lot anywhere in the city. Now click on "Houses" and now click on "Build". You are going to need at least 4 houses. Level up those houses to level 2. Leveling up your buildings [walk3.3]------ -------------------------- To level up your buildings to a higher level, simply tap on a House or a Barrack or any building of your choice. If you have the correct amount of resources and you meet the proper requirements, a blue button will appear. It will say "Upgrade" on it. Tap it to upgrade your building. After you have upgraded your houses to level 2, you should go build some ressource farms. To access your ressource fields, you can tap on the little button found in the bottom left-hand side of the screen. You are going to want more ressource buildings. First, upgrade your "Farm" to level 5. Once you have a level 5 farm, you will be able to build stables. Next build 3 more farms in the empty lots next to your first farm. The next thing you are going to wanna do is to build a couple of Lumber Mills (or Arboretum, depending on the faction you selected). Once you have finished, scroll the menu bar, found at bottom of the screen (it will show "Shop", "Quest", "Alliance" and "Mail"). Scroll the menu bar to the left. You will now see 4 new menus. The one we are going to need is "Settings". Once you have opened the "Settings" menu, click on the "Kabam ID". Next, click on "Create a new Kabam ID account". You will need to register this game with an email and password. Doing this will allow you to save your game progress and be able to participate in in-game events. You will also be able to continue your game on a different device, should you decide to. Once you have finished registering, return to the city screen. By now you should be a Level 3 player. If your not a Level 3 player yet, simply continue to build and upgrade your buildings until you have leveled up. Now, the next task is to build yourself an Embassy. This will only take you 15 seconds. When you have built your Embassy, you will be able to Create or Join an Alliance. To join or create an alliance, scroll the menu bar to the right, if you haven't already done so. Now I recommend Joining an alliance for now. This is the biggest challenge you must overcome... Choosing the right alliance to join. Choosing the right alliance can be very difficult. Each alliance has their own set of rules and have some requirements that must be matched before anyone can join. You are going to need an Active and helpful alliance, one that can also help you by donating extra resources for you so as you won't go dry while you are building your city. Finding one Alliance that matches these demands out of many can be frustrating. You don't wanna go joining one because they have a name that you like, that can sometimes in itself lead to danger. Choosing the right Alliance [walk3.4]------ --------------------------- When choosing an alliance, you will need to make sure that they can meet your needs. To choose the best alliance, it may be wise to send a message to their Regent or any other player within the guild. When sending the message, it would be best to ask them some of the following questions, as to make sure that your making the right decision. Remember, they have to be willing to help you through and through. The questions you should ask are: You must search for an alliance that is is as active as your going to be, so your first question should be: 1. How active is your alliance? Next, you will need members who will be willing to help you grow strong and powerful, so your next question should be: 2. Would your alliance be able to provide me with help whenever I am in need, no matter what the issue may be? You are going to need an alliance that will have your back when your in trouble, so you need to ask: 3. If I get attacked by someone, depending on how big the attacker and his troops may be, would you be willing to reinforce me or at least attack him back, should the occasion ever arise? Next, you need to make sure that they can supply you with adequate resources so your next question aught to be: 4. If I run out of resources while I'm building or Training, would your alliance be willing to supply me with an adequate amount? You need to know if an alliance is at war with any other alliances, so you'll wanna ask: 5. Is your alliance currently at war with 2 or more alliances? Now the following will be categories on which you may have to make a preferance on when it comes to choosing an alliance. 1. Do I wanna be a might hugger or do I wanna use my powerful army to attack other players? 2. Do I care about being a top ranked player, if so do I need to be in a Top 10 allliance? 3. Do I want an alliance that's always chatting about in the chat room or do I want an alliance that will sit back and take action over peace ? Remember, when choosing an alliance that's right for you, they have to meet your criteria. Never forget that each player is different, so their views on what a perfect alliance for them will always be different. Now the next section I will cover will be how to train Troops and grow your might. Building Might [Walk3.5]------ -------------- First off, ask yourself this: "What is Might?" The answer "Might is the total calculation of how many troops you have at your disposal. Might is an indicator of how powerful you are. Might will determine who will win in an all out war or in a one-on-one battle royale. Might is your friend. When building might, you first must have the following requirements: - You must have at least 4 barracks built. The more barracks you have, the faster your troop training will be. Also, the more barracks you have built, will allow you to train more troop sequences. For example, if I have a total of 5 barracks built, i can set up a queue of 5 different troops to be trained all at once. - One of those barracks must be at least level 4 or higher. You only need 1 barrack to be a high level. The higher the level, the better the troops you can train. There are 3 Tiers of troops. To train the 1st tier, you need at least a Level 1-4 barrack. to train the Tier 2 troop set, your barracks need to be at least s level 4 - 6 barrack and to train a Tier 3 troop set, you will reuire a level 7-10 barrack. How the more barracks you have built thing works is: If you have 1 level 9 barrack and 3 level 1 barracks, then using the level 1 barracks you can still train any of the 3 different Tier troops. - You will need to have the following reserches at level 4 or higher: - Siege Weapons Lv4-Lv9 - Horned Blades Lv4-Lv9 - Fletching Lv4-Lv9 - Horseshoes Lv4-Lv9 - Masonry Lv2 - Smelting Lv4-Lv9 - Metal Alloys Lv4-Lv9 - Saddlebags Lv4-Lv9 - You will require to have a Wall built to build Wall Defenses. However, I would not recommend building any kind of Wall Defenses. They may be the fastest to build, but they are the easiest to lose. Troops [walk3.6]------ ------ Your troops are used to: - Protect your city from attack; - Attack other players; - Conquer wilds; - Attack Goblin Camps. Each troop type has a Might value that contributes to your overall Might score. Increase your Might to show others you are the strongest leaedr in Middle-earth! Unit Types and Modifiers: ------------------------- Remember, there are 4 different types of Troops per Tier. There are 4 distinct classes of units: Foot, Ranged, Mounted, and Supply. Each class is divided into three tiers: - Foot: [Dawrf Troops] (Dwarven Militia, Dwarf Warriors, Battering Rams) [Elven Troops] (Elven Militia, Elven Warriors, Battering Rams) - Ranged: [Dwarf Troops] (Axe Throwers, Siege Crossbows, Catapults) [Elven Troops] (Archers, Scorpions, Ents) - Mounted: [Dwarf Troops] (Mounted Dwarves, Boar Riders, Heavy Boar Riders) [Elven Troops] (Mounted Elves, Mounted Hunters, Mounted Galadhrim) - Supply: [All Factions] (Porters, Supply Carts, Supply Wagons) Supply troops have no attacking power; Ranged troops have bonus against Foot troops; Foot troops have bonus against Mounted Troops; Mounted troops have bonus agaisnt Ranged troops. Higher-tier troops will defeat lower-tier troops even if they are weak against the opposing troop class. Troop Statistics ---------------- Each unit in the game has statistics that reflect its strength. Statistics for regular units can be viewed by going to the Barracks, selecting 'Train Troops' and tapping the troop type. Statistics for Wall Defenses can be viewed by going to the wall and selecting 'Train Defenses' followed by the defense type. Troop statistics are: Attack: How much damage the unit deals in battle; Life: How much damage the unit can absorb before it is destroyed; Speed: How quickly the unit can march on the map; Load: How much loot (Gold or resources) the unit can carry. Heroes and Research ------------------- The level of your heroes and research can also impact the outcome of a battle. Specifically, the higher the level of the Hero assigned to march, and the level of your Horned Blades and Vigor research, the better your chance of victory. Hide Troop option ----------------- The Hide Troop feature is located inside your keep. Hidden troops cannot fight to defend your city, but they cannot be killed by attackers either. Defending troops can significantly increase your defensive capabilities, but they can be destroyed by a superior attacker. The troops you lose might be more valuable than the resssources that can be looted. **The Life, and Attacks of the different troops will be added in a later update. Sorry for this inconveniance. Buildings [walk3.7]------ --------- In this section I will we will be discussing the different type of buildings you will be using during your game-play. We will start with the most important building of the game, that is the Keep. Keep ---- The Keep is the heart of your city. Upgrade to unlock more field resource plots and Wilds. Tax Rate and Happiness ---------------------- Gold is required for a variety of in-game activities including research and paying salaries to Heroes assigned to roles at the Great Hall. Your Gold income depents on your tax rate and your Population. Raising the tasx rate decreases Happiness, which can lead to a drop in Population (See Population Help under home) Hide Troop Option ----------------- The hide troops feature is located inside your keep. Beginner's Protection --------------------- Every new player is granted Beginner's Protection. Beginners cannot be attacked or scouted by other players for their first 7 days or until their Keep reaches level 5, whichever comes first. Use this period to build up your city and troops to prepare for the battles to come! While under Beginner's Protection, you may still put your troops to the test by attacking Goblin Camps and unoccupied Wilds. You may opt out of Beginner's Protection by attacking another player before the 7 days are up. Once your beginner's protection has expired, your cities can be attacked by other players. Cities can be defended by troops and Wall Defenses. You may extend your Beginner's Protection or declare peace at any time by purchasing Protection Rune items from the Shop. Vault ----- The vault protects a limited amount of resources from being plundered by enemy attacks. Resources --------- Resources are used to upgrade buildings, build troops and complete research. THere are five main resources: Food, Wood, Stone, Ore and Gold. Food, Wood, Stone, and Ore are produced by buildings in your Fields. Resource production can be increased by: -Building more Field plots; -Conquering Wilds; -Appointing a Hero to the Production position; -Completing appropriate Research; -Using items that boost production. All resources except Gold can be protected by your Vault. The higher your Vault's level, the more resources it can protect. Gold is produced by taxing your Population. You can adjust your tax rate in your Keep under the tab. Building and upgrading Homes can increase tax revenue by raising Population. Resources can be transferred between your own cities or sent to Alliance members. Embassy ------- The Embassy allows you to join or create alliances, and also houses reinforcing armies from your allies. Alliances --------- Alliances play an important role in Kingdoms of Middle-earth. Join an Alliance to share resources, coordinate attacks, socialize, and share tips and tricks on how to play more successfully. Protect yourself from the perils of Middled-earth by joining an Alliance today! Join ---- To join an Alliance, simply tap on the Alliance tab and then on the Find an Alliance button. You'll see all Alliances listed in order of Might. You will see a red dot with a White "X" and a Green Dot with a white checkmark next to some of the Alliances names. They are used to help indicate if you meet the Alliances set requirements to join or not. The red dot with the "X" indicates that you cannot join that teams alliance. You need to search for ones with a green dot and a Checkmark next to the name to qualify. Or simply have an alliance send you a request by posting a message in the Global Chat room. Tap the envelope icon to send a request to join. You will be notified via in-game messages if you are accepted into an Alliance. Create an Alliance ------------------ You may want to create your own alliance, become Regent and climb up the Alliance rankings by acquiring new members and working with them to defeat others! Reinforcements -------------- You can only reinforce and be reinforced by players from your own alliance. You can receive a number of reinforcing armies up to the level of your Embassy. In other words, if you have a Level 5 Embassy, you can receive five reinforcing armies, each with an unlimited number of troops. Remember, all troops reinforcing your city will consume Food. Reports ------- As a member of an Alliance, you can view all the scout and march reports for every member in that alliance. However, if a player has deleted a march report in their own Reports folder, it will also be deleted in the Alliance Reports folder. Alliance Chat ------------- One of the biggest advantages of being a member of an Alliance is the ability to socialize and coordinate with your fellow Alliance members. To view alliance chat, tap on the chat bart and then the Alliance tab on the top. Alliance Messaging ------------------ Alliance officers can send mass messages to all Alliance members by tapping Alliance and then the Message Everyone button on the Info tab. Diplomacy --------- Alliance officers can set diplomacy for other alliances in the world. The three options for diplomacy are: Hostile, Friendly, and Neutral. All Freindly settings must be reciprocated. In other words, if Alliance A marks Alliance B as Friendly, Alliance B must reciprocate with the same setting for Alliance A for the official Diplomacy setting of Friendly to take effect. A Hostile setting will take effect immediately and does not require reciprocation. Tavern ------ A cup of ale before leaving increases the speed of travel between your cities and to allied cities. Upgrade your Tavern to reduce Travel times further. The Tavern increases your troops' march speed between your cities and your allies' cities. This means a it takes them less time to transport resources, reinforce your allies, or be reassigned to another city. The more you upgrade the Tavern, the faster they will march. Watch Tower ----------- The Watch Tower detects incoming attcks and prevents enemies from scouting your city. Upgrade to gain more detailed information. Levels ------ You will be provided information on incoming attacks based on the level of your Watch Tower: Level 1: Warns you of an impending attack Level 2: Increases your scouting efficiency Level 3: Tells you the time until arrival of an impending attack Level 4: Tells you the Level and alliance of the player attacking you Level 5: Tells you the estimated number of troops involved in the attack. Level 6: Tells you the troop types involved in the attack Level 7: Tells you the estimated number of each troop type involved in the attack Level 8: Tells you the exact number of each troop type involved in the attack Level 9: Tells you the level of the Hero leading the attack Level 10: Tells you the exact Research levels of the player sending the attack. Incoming Attack --------------- If you are in the game and have incoming attack on any of your cities or Wilds, you will be notified by a red icon with crossed swords at the top left of the game window. To see the details of an incoming attack, tap on the icon, or go to your watch Tower and select the Incoming Attacks tab. On the screen that appears, tap the ">" button to see the details of a specific attack. The information provided will be based on the level of your Watch Tower. If an attack is targeting an occupied Wild, information provided is based on the Watch Tower level of the city that occupies that wild. Concealing Mists ---------------- If you want to prevent enemies from scouting you, you could buy the Concealing Mists item in the Watch Tower. This item prevents scouting for 24 hours. City Wall --------- The walls protect your city and allow you to build defensive units. Wall Defenses ------------- Your City Wall can be strengthened with defensive units. Building up your Wall Defenses is a good way to defend your city, boost your Power, and Intimidate other players. Wall Defenses are not troops, but they do have their own Might Values. Wall Defenses cannot be set to 'Hide' or 'Defend' - they are always active. They can be destroyed by attacking troops. Like regular troops, Wall defenses are divided into three classes: *vs. Foot (Traps) *vs. Mounted (Caltrops) *vs. Ranged (Defense Crossbows, Defensive Trebuchets) **More information about Wall Defenses can be found in the Building Troops and City Defenses section of this walkthrough. If not found in the current version of this document, it may be added in a later update. Home ---- Homes increase your Population, enabling you to build larger armies and better resource buildings. Population ---------- Population consits of the people in your City. Building Homes raises the city's Population Limit. The happier the Population, the closer the Population value will come to the Population limit. You can boost your Population temporarily by using the Open Gates item. Idle Population is the number of people available to put to work in Fields and to train for Troops. Idle Population still contributes to tax revenue. Barracks -------- Use the Barracks to train troops. Upgrade Barracks to unlock new units. Build more Barracks to train troops faster. Troops ------ Your troops are used to: * Protect your city from attack; * Attack other players; * Conquer Wilds: * Attack Goblin Camps. Each troop type has a Might value that contributes to your overall Might score. Increase your Might to show others you are the strongest leader in Middle-earth! Muster Field ------------ The Muster field lets you send attacks, reinforce allies, and transport resources between your cities and to your allies. Marches ------- Troops moving across the Map are called Marches. There are three types of Marches: Attack, Reinforce, and Transport. The level of your Muster Field determines how many Marches you can send /ig4\7jrr9.xm at a time, and how many troops can be sent on a single march. Attack: You can attack Wilds, Goblin Camps, and the cities of other Players. Each attack must be led by a Hero. Reinforce: You can reinforce wilds that you own, and the cities of Alliance members. Remember, reinforcing troops will consume Food resource when in allied cities. The level of a city\0uh/it5.9v.xm s Embassy determines how many armies can reinforce that city. Transport: You can move resources between your cities orsend them to Alliance members as gifts. Transport marches do not need to be led by a Hero. Scouting -------- Scouting gives you vital information about locations on the Map. Scouting is free, but you can are limited to launching one Scout at a time and it does take time for information to be collected. Research higher levels of Far Seeing to yield more information with each Scout. The Map ------- The Map is used to attack and conquer Wilds, loot Goblin Camps, attack enemies, and help friends. Using the Map: Swipe your finger to move around the Map. Tap on an individual tile to bring up that tile's details, and tap the tile again to close the details pop-up. Tap with two fingers to toggle tile level information on and off. The buttons at the top of the screen allow you to (?from left): Center the map on your city; open your saved bookmarks; and jump to specific map coordinates. There are three types of map tiles on the World map: Wilds, Goblin Camps, and Cities. Conquering Wilds helps boost your resource production by 5% x level. Different Wilds boost different resources; Grasslands and Lakes boost Food production, while Forests, Hills, and Mountains boost Wood, Stone, and Ore respectively. To conquer a Wild, you must attack it and win. You can own a number of Wilds equal to the level of your Keep. You can abandon a Wild by going to your Keep and selecting the Conquests tab. Goblin Camps owe their allegiance to the great Goblin. Attack them and return home with valuable resources! Higher level Goblin Camps are harder to beat, but also hold more resources. You cannot conquer a Goblin Camp. Cities are owned by other players. Cities belonging to members of your Alliance are marked with a blue flag. Those belonging to members of hostile alliances show a red flag. Combat ------ Train troops and use them to attack Wilds, Goblin Camps, and other players' cities. Conquering Wilds can help boost your resource production, while attacking Goblin Camps and other players can yield valuable loot. Attack and Scout ---------------- How to send an attack: 1. Find your target in the map view 2. Tap on that tile 3. Tap 'Attack' 4. Choose a Hero to lead the March 5. Choose troop types and numbers 6. Buy and/or use Combat boost items as desired 7. Tap 'Attack' 8. Tap 'Speed Up' or 'Instant Finish March', or wait for your troops to reach the target 9. After the battle is done, you will receive a report under Mail -> Report. You may also choose to scout a target before attacking to determine its strength. Scout reports are sent to your Mail, under Reports. Remember, you can gather information by researching higher levels of Far Seeing. Academy ------- The Academy allows you to research new technologies to make your city more efficient and your armies more powerful. Research -------- You can research technologies in your Academy. Research can increase resource production, speed up building and training, make your troops more effective in combat, and more. Forge ----- The Forge allows you to train better units. Upgrade to unlock more advanced troops. Armory ------ The Armory allows you to build advanced weapons. Upgrade it to unlock more powerful units. Great Hall ---------- The Great Hall is used to recruit Heroes and assign them to specilist roles which help your city grow. Upgrade to appoint more Heroes. **Information regarding the Heroes and the appropriate level of your Great Hall can be found in the Attack and Defending section of this Walkthrough. Heroes ------ Heroes lead your armies into battle and give valuable boosts to your troops and city. To recruit more Heroes, upgrade your Great Hall. Heroes earn experience points (needed to level up) from battle and via certain combat items available from the shop. You can also assign your Heroes to a role in your city. As long as a Hero is assigned to a role, your city receives bonuses in proportion to the Hero's level. Heroes assigned to a role need a salary in Gold and are not available for marches. **I would recommend that you buy and use a Hobbit Building Crew and level up your Great Halls to level 10. With a Level 10 Great Hall, you will be able to level up your Heroes over Level 180 up to level 215. Level 215 is the Highest a Hero can be leveled up to. Stables ------- The Stables are required to build mounted units. Upgrade to unlock more units. Sage's Tower ------------ The Sage's Tower holds Relics. Find Relics by attacking Goblin Camps. Finish Relic sets to earn special items. **A sage's Tower can only be build in your main City. Also, once a Sage's Tower has been built, it can not be destroyed or deconstructed. The Sage's Tower stores your Relics and lets you combine them into useful items such as Second City Deeds. Upgrading your Sage's Tower increases your chance of discovering Relics when you attack Goblin Camps. Farm ---- Farms provide Food to sustain your population and feed your workers and troops. Higher-level Farms produce more Food. Resources --------- Resources are used to upgrade buildings, build troops and complete Research. There are five main resources: Food, Wood, Stone, Ore, and Gold. Food, Wood, Stone, and Ore are produced by buildings in your Fields. Resource production can be increased by: *Building more Field plots; * Conquering Wilds; * Appointing a Hero to the Production position; * Completing appropriate research; * Using items that boost production. All resources except Gold can be protected by your Vault. The higher your Vault's level, the more resources it can protect. Gold is produced by taxing your Population. You can adjust your tax rate in your Keep. Building and upgrading Homes can increase tax revenue by raising population. Resources can be transfered between your own cities or sent to Alliance members. Lumber Mill (Arboretum) ----------------------- The Lumber Mill (Arboretum) produces Wood, vital for building and for raising troops. Resources --------- SEE Resources SECTION UNDER Farm ABOVE. Quarry ------ Here, your people sing Stone from the ground to raise buildings and train certain troop types. Resources --------- SEE Resources SECTION UNDER Farm ABOVE. Mine (Ore Vein) --------------- Here, people sing metal from the rock, producing Ore to raise buildings and train certain troop types. Resources --------- SEE Resource SECTION UNDER Farm ABOVE. The Game Screen (City and Field view) [Walk3.8]------ ------------------------------------- The following is a text-view screen shot of the game's main City and Field view screens. There will also be a legend associated with the image. In the City and Field view section of your screen, the main focus will be concentrated on building and upgrading your Buildings, Researching Technologies, and Training Troops. On these two screens you will also be noticified about incoming attacks. The incoming attacks will notify you with a [X] icon in the top left side of the city/field view. .--------------------------------------------. | .------------..------------. .-----------. | | | 40 Name || City name | | 15 | | | | lv Might || Coords | |Get Mithril| | | '------------''------------' '-----------' | |--------------------------------------------| | | F 6.64m W 605k S 658k O 1.09m G 58.2k | | |--------------------------------------------| | [X]01 \ 20:25 / [+] | | ------- [D] | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | .-------.-------.----------.----| | | March | Train | Building | \/ | | .------------------------.----------| | | Armory (Lv.6) 2h15m40s | Speed Up | | |------------------------:----------| | | Vigor (Lv.3) 1h59m11s | Speed Up | |--------------------------------------------| | Global and Alliance | ... | | Chat Rooms | | |--------------------------------------------| |.---------. /| || Change | | | || View | Items Alliance Chance | | |'---------' Quests Mail \| '--------------------------------------------' .--------------------------------------------. | Legend | |--------------------------------------------| | F - Food W - Wood | | S - Stone O - Ore | | G - Gold [D]- Date/ Log-in events | |[+]- Misc. A hero is the person who will lead your troops into battle. A Hero can be assigned to help with the resource production, building times, training times and research speed. A hero is one of the most used and important character in The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth. Sending your Hero into battle will allow him to gain experience, other than using items. When using battle to level up your Hero's experience, he will gain them like so: * By being successful in battle, your hero will earn 20 points at a time. * By failing in battle, your hero will only gain 10 exp points. Everyday at starting at 0:00 Hobbit GT, you will receive a free Gollum's token. Use it to receive a prize. To play the 'classic' Gollum's Riddle, you will require 1 Gollum's Token. You have a choice of selecting 1 of 9 chests. Each chest contains a different prize, and is never the same twice. You can win almost anything that can be found in the shop and then some, with the exclusion of Third City Deeds, Chest sets, and the Event items. In the Classic Gollum's Riddle game, there is a 1 in 100,000 chance of winning troop sets. The other Chance game is Gollum's 'Premium' Riddle. In this Premium game, you will need a total of 6 Gollum Tokens to receive one play. However, in the Premium chance game, you can win better prizes, like a Hobbit Building Crew, Troops, Second City Deeds, and much more. The following is a text-view screenshot of the Gollum's Riddle chance game. .--------------------------------------------. | .----. .------------. | | |home| Gollum's Riddle | 15 | | | '----' | Get Mithril| | | '------------' | | .-------------------. .------------------. | | | Chance | | Premium Chance | | |.------------------------------------------.| || --------------------------. || || | || || Use Gollum's Tokens| || || to Play! | || || | || || | || || | || || --------------------------' || || .--------------------------------------. || || | | || || | .--------. .--------. .--------. | || || | |---[]---| |---[]---| |---[]---| | || || | | | | | | | | || || | '--------' '--------' '--------' | || || | | || || | .--------. .--------. .--------. | || || | |---[]---| |---[]---| |---[]---| | || || | | | | | | | | || || | '--------' '--------' '--------' | || || | | || || | .--------. .--------. .--------. | || || | |---[]---| |---[]---| |---[]---| | || || | | | | | | | | || || | '--------' '--------' '--------' | || || '--------------------------------------' || |'------------------------------------------'| '--------------------------------------------' As you can see from the text-view screenshot above, you are supplied with 9 chests, each containing a different item hidden within. Log-in Event Calendar [walk3.15]----- --------------------- There is a new feature to this game. It gives you the current date on a calendar, but it also gives you the chance to click on todays date. By clicking on todays date, this is called Logging in. By loging in, you can earn prizes. The more you log-in, the better the prizes you will recieve. To login, click on the calendar, then on the brown box found on todays current date. If you have loged in successfully, a blue square will appear with the logo of your faction in the middle of todays box. Alliance diplomacy and Settings [walk3.16]----- ------------------------------- One of the biggest rules about being in an alliance is to know how to read the flags found on the map. There are two color flags: blue and red. As you may have already guessed, a red flag indicates a tile that is being occupied by an enemy of an alliance whose diplomacy is set to hostile against your alliance. Those occupying a red flag, are an imediate threat to you and to your allies. These players must be attacked without warning and without permission from your alliance leaders. As for the tiles that are marked with a blue flag, these are players are belonging to an alliance whose diplomacy is set to Friendly against your alliance. Blue Flags also indicate the location of a city or wild that is being occupied by one of your alliance members. Remember, an easier way to find out who you are friendly and hostile with, tap on the 'Alliance' tab found at the bottom of the screen, then tap on the 'Your Diplomacy with other Alliances' button that is found on the main window that appears. Now look at the list of all the alliances that you are Firendly or Hostile with. Finding your enemies [walk3.17]----- -------------------- There are many ways to find out the location of your enemy's City or Wild. One of the best ways that I prefer for doing this, is to access the map database found online at http://hobbit.weezeewig.com and select your world. Now once you have access to the map, enter "user:" followed by the name of the player you are looking for, ex "user:TwilightGoddess" into the Search box. Now select "Serach". If all goes well, youy should see a list or a cluster of the user's current city and conquered wilds locations in relation to its position on the map. Another way is to wait for them to attack you, then read the Attack Report to see who attacked you, where they attacked you and where the attack came from in relation to the map, i.e. the Coordinates. One last way of finding your enemies is to thoroughly checdk each section and segment of the map by hand. Doing this last one, will take about 6-8 hours, if doine non-stop. I wouldn't recommend it. The Global and Alliance Chatrooms [walk3.18]----- --------------------------------- There exists currently twoi types of Chatrooms in the game, one is known as 'Global' and the other as 'Alliance'. If you have not yet figured it out, the Global chat room allows you to connect and communicate with all players from around the globe, whereas the Alliance chatroom only allows you to comunicate with players in realtime sho belong to your alliance. Using these chatrooms, you can obtain massive information about all the players and some will even occasionally spill secrets through whisper fails. To whisper someone, there are two ways of doing so, one is to click on the player's name, then tap on the Whisper button. Another way is to type in the user's name like this: "@TwilightGoddess" or like "\TwilightGoddess". Whispering someone is a way of communicating messages in chat that are not visable to the other players. As you may have already guessed, my in-game name is TwilightGoddess. Quests [walk3.19]----- ------ In the new Version of The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth game, the developpers at Kabam, Inc. have added a new subsection to the Quests tab. This new subsection is known as Campaign Mode. Since Campaign Mode is new and not yet available in all worlds, not much is known yet. However I will start adding the topic to this walkthrough but will add more information to it's category later on when it has been released to all worlds. Now on to the Quests. When you first start the game, you will need to complete some quests. To view the quests that you have yet to complete or have already completed, simplt tap on the 'Quests' tab at the bottom of the screen. During most of your game-play time, you will be completing quests. By completing certain tasks, you can receive many great and useful rewards. So always check your Quests screen often. The following is a list of all the tasks you must complete during the beginnig of your adventures. .----------------..-------. _/ Accomplishents // Quests | .------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Task/Quest | Description | Rewards | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Join an Alliance | item.desc.i not availabl| item.reward not | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Choose a Name | Your followers need a | 1000 Gold | | | name to call you by. Since it is not yet available in all worlds, I don't have any data on it. So I will only be adding a brief section on this topic. It will be covered in a later update once it has been made available in all current worlds in the game. Campaign Mode has been made available in all worlds, however, we will be discussing this topic in the update version 1.3.o of this document. Mithril [walk3.20]----- ------- Mithril is one of the most essential requirements to properly succeed in the game. However, Mithril can be extremly costly. The use of Mithril can be very specific, for example: If you want to get the Second City Deed but you don't wanna fight for it, you can purchase Mithril in order to purchase the deed. Mithil has may uses. The following chart indicates how much money you will need to spend to recieve a certain number of Mithril. By purchasing Mithril, you also receive a chance to win a free Prosperity chest. But we will discuss that in a later update. .------------..--------. _/ Purchasing // Mithril | .------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Amount of Mithril to buy | Other Info | Cost ($) | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | 50 Mithril | |$ 4.99 USD| |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | 100 Mithril | |$ 9.99 USD| |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | 240 Mithril | 20% more free! |$19.99 USD| |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | 375 Mithril | 25% more free! |$29.99 USD| |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | 665 Mithril | 33% more free! |$49.99 USD| |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | 1600 Mithril | 60% more free! |$99.99 USD| '------------------------------------------------------------------------' In Version 6.0.0 and later of The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth game, Kabam, Inc. has added a new way to earn Mithril. This new technique involves completing special offers. Sometimes you will need to make some purchases to complete these offers and other times they are free. Last month, in the month of July, Kabam, Inc. had added a special deal to gain 300 Free Mithril to all players who had successfully logged in for 30 days via the Log-In Calendar (see walk3.15 for more details). Tier 4 Troops [walk3.21]----- ------------- There are currently 3 Tiers of Troops that you can train. Each Tier surpasses the previous in many advantages. There is also a fourth set of Tier Troops. This fourth tier is currently only available through events and through Mystery Chests sets. You will be able to soon train that fourth set of tier troops, however this process requires Version 8.0.0 of the game and you must meet certain qualifications, see Runecrafting below. To view your Tier 4 Troops, you must visit your Muster Field. For every 1 Tier 4 Troop you have, you will gain 28 might. The following are stats for every Tier 4 Troops that can be obtained in the game. In the Barracks and in the game, Tier 4 Troops are considered as Advanced Troop Units. common:troop.named3 common:troop.named7 ---------------------------------- --------------------------------- common:troop.detailt2 common:troop.detailt2 Dwarf Troops Elf Troops ------------ ---------- Supply Caravans ---------------------------------- Caravans can carry enormous quantities of loot safely through all kinds of hazards. The Sage's Tower is needed to collect City Deed Relics, and Artifacts needed to progress in completing the game. Artifacts have just been released recently and are only available by completing tasks in Campaign Mode, however you can only currently collect City Deed Relics, which are needed to complete a City Deed to be able to build a new city, for only three cities at the moment. Since the Artifacts are new and not yet available in all Worlds, I will only be adding what is currently known on this topic in this version of the walk- through. I will add more data on this topic once it has been made availble in all worlds, in a later update. Relic Hunting ------------- Relics are one of the most important items that you need in order to obtain a new city Deed. First, you will need to collect a total of 100 in order to claim a new City Deed. There are three ways of collecting these relics, the first is to attack Goblin Camps Level 6-10 (see Goblin Camp Guide for futher details about defeating them) then the second is to attack a player's city and claim his/her relics, then there is the secret way, which involves attacking a player's Wilds. You will be notified in your reports if you obtain a relic from the first two, but you will not know if you get one from the Wilds. To claim Relics, you must have at least a Level 1 or higher Sage's Tower. Sage's Towers allow you to obtain and hold relics. It is important that you use your First City to go Relic hunting, as no other cities will allow you to access relics. If you are hunting relics to build your Second City, you will only obtrain Second City Relics from Goblin Camps until you claim a Second City Deed. Once you have claimed a Second City Deed, your Sage's Tower will start a new programming in your city so the next time you go to hunt for relics, you will then start to obtain Third City Relics in place of Second City Relics. You must also have a Second City built before you can start or claim a Third City Deed. City Deeds ---------- City Deeds are a crucial and most important key needed to expand your kingdom. They are needed to create additional cities. By creating new cities, you can train more troops faster and always have plenty of resources available at your disposal. Currently, there are three cities available in total to be constructed. To obtain these deeds, please visit the shop and purchase them at 225 Mithril or earn them by collecting relics using your Sage's Tower. You can also take your chances at wining a Second City Deed from Gollum's Riddle Chance game. Artifacts --------- Artifacts are only obtainable via the Campaign Mode. Beat Dungeons and Caves to earn some Artifacts. There is a current total of 10 artifacts to obtain. Artifacts are needed to permanently increase your City's Attack and Defense stats. The Higher the stats the better. I will be including a brief description for each set of artifacts in the chart below. Artifacts are created by gathering Precious Metals and Gems. ____________ ________________ _____________ _/ Artifacts // Campaign Mode // Sages Tower | .------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Artifact | Precious Metals needed | Gems Needed | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Artifact I | 10 | 3 | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Artifact II | 40 | 10 | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Artifact III | 40 | 10 | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Artifact IV | 40 | 10 | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Artifact V | 60 | 10 | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Artifact VI | 60 | 14 | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Artifact VII | 60 | 16 | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Artifact VIII | 60 | 18 | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Artifact IX | 60 | 20 | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Artifact X | 60 | 22 | '------------------------------------------------------------------------' Building Multiple Cities [walk3.23]----- ------------------------ Before you can start building a new City that will be under your Domain, you must first meet the proper requirements. These requirements are in place to make proper assurance that you are fully ready to handle a new City. The requirements are very simple, but some of the tasks that have to be completed aren't so easy to accomplish. To build a new city, please refer yourself to the charts below. For now, all there are only Two additional cities available to be built, giving you up to three cities. .------------..--------------..-------. _/ New Cities // Requirements // City 2 | .------------------------------------------------------------------------| |To build a Second City, you must first obtain the following requirements| |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Relics needed | Deeds Needed | Plains needed | Level needed | Other | |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | 100/100 | 1 | 1 | 7 | Alliance | '------------------------------------------------------------------------' | The Relics can only be obtained by attacking Goblin Camps Level 6 | | through level 10. The game refers the Third City as a 'Storm City'. Don't ask me why, it just does. The Third City is much more different than the first two. This new city has even more field plots, which can only be unlocked when your Keep reaches level 5 and Level 10. It also has a few more open and locked house/building plots than the previous cities. Try to use these new plots to make a better city, one that will have everyone else in envy. How to 'Farm' another Player [walk3.25]----- ---------------------------- It is important to know how to Farm. Farming is the term we like to use when you are sending troops to another Player's Cities to obtain their loot. To Farm someone, you must first have at least 100 T1 troops and at least 10 Supply Carts or Supply Wagons. You also must take into fact, the level and power of the player's city you wish to farm. It is recommended that you attack a player who is no more than 100k might more powerful than you. If you wish to succeed at obtaining the player's loot, you must also send a high leveled Hero to lead the attack. The higher the level of the Hero, the higher the chances you will succeed in battle. There are two ways to farm someone. The first is to manually hunt for your target via the map. If you know the location x,y of your target, then you will want to insert them manually at the top of the map screen. Now tap on your target city. Now click on attack. Select your Hero, if any are available then select the troops you wish to send. Once that is done, tap on send attack to finish the proccess. If you are successful, you will be rewarded with your target's loot, if they had extra in the first place. Sometimes your attack will be successful, but you won't receive any loot. This is normal, so do not panic or worry. The second way to send an attack, is via the Muster Field. It is not recommended that you use the Muster Field when sending attacks, as it can take a little longer to perform than it would using the map. The First thing you do with the Muster Field, is to select 'March Troops. Then you will want to select 'Attack' from the list of options found below. Now, at the top you will see two blank text boxes, insert coordinates x,y and then tap on 'Next.' Now choose the hero you want to lead the attack. Once that is complete, tap once again on 'Next'. Now select the amount of troops you wish to send. Now tap on 'Send'. Now you know how to attack/ Farm someone. These techniques can be transferred for Reinforcing, transporting and reassigning troops and ressources to other cities. You can also use these techniques to attack and conquer Wilds and Goblin Camps. Do not attack Bogs as they cannot be attacked in the first place. RuneCrafting [Walk3.26]----- ------------ RuneCrafting is a way to increase a certain's building level higher than level 10. Once a building has been RuneCrafted, it becomes a *1 level or higher. If you RuneCraft a building, you can unlock many new features in the game, like being able to train Tier 4 Troops, or increased Vault protection limit. These features are very helpful, so I strongly recommend RuneCrafting a building when the opportunity arises. To RuneCraft a building, you will need to meet certain qualifications. Here is a sample of the qualifications you need to meet to be able to RuneCraft a building. You will need a Lv 10 building, some Forge Runes, some RuneCraft building requirements require a level *1 buiding to be able to RuneCraft another building. I will include a list of all buildings that can be RuneCrafted in a later update of this document. Forge Runes can be obtained through special Events in the Shop and can be found by completing Campain Mode with a 1:500 ratio through Campaign mode. See Quests: Campaing Mode section of this document for further details. Food Production and Upkeep [walk3.28]----- -------------------------- Topic will be introduced in update version 1.4.0 of this document. A brief introduction to this topic will be listed below. Food is the most needed resource within the game. It is needed to build, to train, to research, to share, and much more. However, you cannot ever have enough of it. But if you want to train lots of troops, you'd better know how to keep up with the production and upkeep rates so u don't end up in a position of not being able to cultivate any. It is highly recommended that you have 1 City to store all of your troops in, and one designated specially for producing lots of Food. This way u will never run out. To have a HIGH production rate of food, it will be necessary to conquer 9 or 10 Level 10 Grasslands or Lakes. It would also help to assign a high level Hero to the "Production" position as to increase your Resource production by the level of your Hero tenfold. It would also be wise to have about 20 Farms each of level 9 or higher to help boost up the production rate. Also, try to only keep Carts and/or Wagons so as to be able to transport your Food to your allies and your other cities. Be sure to follow these tips to be a successfull Troop builder. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) [walk3.30]----- --------------------------------- Here is a quick list of Questions that are the most Frequently asked about the game. This first question was asked from me to the Development team over at Kabam Studios. Q: Why did my troops dissapear and My heroi not gain any experiance? A: Thank you for taking the time to write in. It appears there are two seperate issues explained here. First, there is the Hero which seems not to have gained experience from the attack. For this, please check your Great Hall level in the city your Hero resides and make sure it is high enough level to support gaining experience for your Hero. Great Halls support 20 levels of experience per one level for your Great Hall. It is possible to have a higher Hero than your Great Hall supports if you used a training item to increase their experience. In regards to your missing Troops, sometimes there is a delay when training or waiting for Troops to return home from a March. It seems they wander off aimlesslyu to the local tavern and tip back a few more than they should. I have been told by the development team that this should only be a temporary issue, meaning your Troops should eventually return, but have also heard from players claiming they had not received them back until days later. Also, some players have reported that refreshing' the app resolves this issue and whips your missing Troops back into shape. To refresh the app, simply press the 'Home' button on your Apple device to exit the app, then doubke-press it again to bring up the list of apps you have open. Hold The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth app until it starts to jiggle and then tap the little 'minus' icon that appears. Then tap onThe Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth to complete the process! We know you worked hard to train these Troops and we are working on improving this experience as soon as possible. Regards, Kim The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth Support Q: Why does it say in the table of contents and show in the guide, 'walk3.20' then 'walk3.22'? Where is 'walk3.21' ? Is it missing? I see 'walk3.26' and then 'walk3.30', but I don't see 'walk3.27'-'walk3.29'. Where are they? A: This indicates a section of the guide that either has not yet been created, so a slot has been left open for a future topic, or because the topic that was there in a previous update has either been moved to a new location in the guide, or it has been removed from the guide entirely. If a topic has been removed, don't worry, a new topic will be added in its place in a future update. Q: I read your game walkthrough and you wrote: "Resources can be transfered between your own cities" I have been able to send and receive resources to and from members of my alliance, but I have never been able to send or receive resources from my own cities to each other... it just gives me the error message "Where ? That destination seems wrong. Please Check" Any ideas? I have tried asking Kabam, rebooting and discarding and reloading the game, building my other cities up... do I need to make an alliance with my own cities to do this ? Your help would be greatly appreciated as you seem to have expertise in this game. Thanks in advance. Steve A: You would need to be in an alliance, yes. But both of your Cities have to be have a blue flag next to them. Q: you mean, both of my cities have to be in the same alliance? or they just need to be in 'an' alliance? or they have to be in an alliance with each other only? essentially, what i think you're saying is for anyone to send resources anywhere, they must be in an alliance... a random city can not just make a donation to another random city... even if i started (own) both cities right? A: They don't have to be in the same alliance, but they do have to be in an alliance whose diplomacy is set as Friendly with yours. You cannot however just send resources to any city. They must be in an alliance that is marked by a blue flag. To send the re- sources use your Muster Field and place the coordinates to your destination. Make sure it's set to transport and not attack. Q: Is it possible to join more than one alliance? A: No, you are only allowed to be in one alliance at a time, per account, no matter how many cities you may own. Q: Can you tranfer items, gold and resources between different worlds? A: No. The only thing that can be tranfered between different worlds is Mithril. The Leaderboard [walk3.31]----- --------------- The leaderboard is the official board that collects and reveals the total mights accumulated, troops killed and ranks the players according to their current might total. This feature can come in very handy. To access the Leaderboard, simply scroll your main menu, found at the bottom of the screen (shown below) scroll that to the left, and click on 'Ranks'. Main Menu screen: 3944024 4004068 3644068 Regular Menu Hidden Menu |----------------------------------------|__________________________________. |.----. | | ||view|Items Quests Alliance Mail Chance<|>Train Research Rank setting share| |'----' |__________________________________| '----------------------------------------' figure 3.31a I will be dividing the Leaderboard information into three sections: Might Leaderboard, Might Gained Leaderboard, and Troops Killed Leaderboard. Might Leaderboard ----------------- The Might Leaderboard ranks all players in the World according to their Might. The Might Leaderboard refreshes daily, and the time of last update can be found on the Might Leaderboard window. Might is gained by training troops and Wall Defenses, and using bundled Troops items. Losing Troops in combat will reduce your Might. Maximize your Might to have your name recorded in the annals of Middle- earth! Might Gained Leaderboard ------------------------ The Might Gained Leaderboard ranks players according to their might gained gained on a weekly basis. The current rankings are updated daily under the 'This Week' tab. Might is gained by training troops, training Wall Defenses, and using bundled troops items. Your Might Gained will not decrease due to troop losses from combat. You may view previous champions of the Might Gained Leaderboard from the 'All Time' and 'Weekly' rankings. Troops Killed Leaderboard ------------------------- The Troops Killed Leaderboard ranks players on a weekly basis according to the total Might of the enemy players' troops killed. Both attacks and defensive battles are taken into account. Rankings are updated daily under the 'This Week' tab. Push Notifications [walk3.33]----- ------------------ Push Notifications are optional for use of the game, but they are turned on by default. You can turn them off by selecting 'Settings' tab found on the second section of the main Menu, also known as Hidden Menu mentioned above. I don't know how to describe the use and definition of the Push Notifications , so I will try my best and if I cannot succeed in giving you the proper in- formation, then I will remove this section from the walkthrough in one of the next updates. Push Notifications, when turned "on" inform the player that a particular project has been completed, such as Building finished being constructed, Research finished being researched, incoming attacks and incoming mail. Some of these features work, but others don't. If you have the Push Notifications turned on, you will be notified on the 'Lock Screen' or via a banner on your iOS device. There are currently three Push Notification options: City, March and Mail. The Mail Notification is very buggy so 99.9% of the time, you will NOT be notified of incoming mail. As for the City Notifications, Kabam, INC. has removed notifications of incoming attacks from the game as itr was causing some major technical difficulties for the development team when they we're making the game Android and Mobile compatible. As for the rest of the City notifications, you will be informed when you have successfully finished building, researching and when you have finished training Troops, and you will even be notified when your City has run out of Food. Very Handy, eh? Now for the 'March Notifications', you will be notified when you have finished sending an attack, reassigning troops, or finished transporting resources. Push Notifications are a great way to keep yourself informed about anything that goes on in you're City. In my opinion, you should keep the Push Notifications turned on at all Times. 4021748 Kabam ID [Walk3.34]------ -------- In order to participate in In-Game events and contests, you must first, if you haven't already done so, create a Kabam account. By creating an account, you will be able to save your game progress, be eligiable for in-game contest and special offers. But the most important factor of creating a Kabam account is you will earn an instant 75 Mithril, free of charge. Game Center [Walk3.35]------ ----------- The Game Center feature is only availble on iOS devices. This feature allows the user to connect their current game account to their Game Center account in order to achieve certain pre-set achievement goals. These Achievement goals can be found in the next section of this Walkthrough. Once an account has been synched with the game, it cannot be undone. Please choose this option carefully. To sync your kabam game account with your Apple Game Center account, please follow these picture instructions below. 1. Locate your main menu at the bottom of your screen. One of the most commonly used methods is the "v-mail." The "V-mail" is similar to the e-mail we use in our everyday lives. This is very simple to use. The following figures will highlight how to use v-mail as to better understand it yourself. To access the v-mail, simply click on the "Mail" tab found on the Main Menu bar found at the bottom of the screen. The main Menu bar looks like this: |-----------------------------------------------------------------------| Regular Menu Hidden Menu |----------------------------------------|__________________________________. |.----. | | ||view|Items Quests Alliance Mail Chance<|>Train Research Rank setting share| |'----' |__________________________________| '----------------------------------------' figure 3.37a First I would like to point out that there are 3 sections to the v-mail messaging systems. These are: a. Mail: The Mail folder contains all of your in-coming messages from the Game Developpers, your Alliance messages and mail sent to you from other Players in the game. It also contains all the Invites you receive asking if you want to join an Alliance. The Mail folder can hold and store up to 1,000 messages. Any new messages after that, an older one will be deleted. b. Reports: The Reports folder is used specifically for holding all of your In-coming and Out-going Scouts, Attack data, transportation and re-assignment of your Troops information. Additionally, your Reports folder can only hold up to 1,000 Reports. For every new Report that comes in, an older Report will automatically be deleted. c. Sent: The Sent folder contains a copy of all the mail you have sent to other players within the game. The sent folder also holds up to 1,000 messages. The following figure shows us the Main Mail Screen. .--------------------------------------------. | .------. .------..------.| | | home | Mail | stgs || Edit || | '------' '------''------'| | .----------. .-------------. .-----------. | | | Mail | | Reports | | Sent | | |-------v------------------------------------| |____________________________________________| | Jul 1, 20:17 PM | | The Hobbit: KoM \ | | Welcome to Middle-earth / | |____________________________________________| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |____________________________________________| | .-----------. .----------.| | 1 Messages | Empty | | Compose || | 0 New '-----------' '----------'| '--------------------------------------------' Figure 3.37a ______________________________________ | Click on the 'Empty' button to delete| | every message you have in the box you| | currently have open. | |________________ ___________________| |________________________| /_________________| __________________________ | .-----|/----. .----------._| Click on the 'Compose' | | 1 Messages | Empty | | Compose <_ button to create a new | | 0 New '-----------' '----------'|| message. | '--------------------------------------------'|__________________________| Figure 3.37b .--------------------------------------------. | .------. .------.| | | Back | | Send || | '------' '------_|______________________ | ________________________________________/ Insert the name of the | | | / Player you wish to | | |_______________________________________\ message here. | | \________________________| | .----------------------------------------. |_________________________ | | |/ Insert the title subject | | '----------------------------------------'\ of your messafe here. | | .----------------------------------------. \_________________________| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ________|_|_________________ | | / Insert your message here | | | \____________________________| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | '----------------------------------------' | '--------------------------------------------' Figure 3.37c Notes: This game requires the use of standard ASCII lettering, such as the letters A-Z, 1-9+0 and standard side text, such as: !@#$%&*()-_=+^ Any other text or emoticons will not work and therefore cannot be seen during anypart of the game. These will also acompatible with the font and text setting of the game: ™ , © and ® . Cheats [walk3.40]------ ------ There are currently TWO KNOWN Cheats for this game. They include "Rainy City" and "Snowy City". To activate these two cheats, you must type in and post a specicific special phrase in Global or Alliance chatrooms. Rainy City ---------- In Global or Allinace chat, type the phrase "A storm is brewing" and post it. Once it has been posted, exit the chat room and it will be Storming in your cities. To turn off the storm, simply type and post the phrase "No more rain". *Please note: This code is seasonal only. I.E. It will only work during the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons (real-time). Snowy City ---------- Please be patient as this code will be offered in a later update. .---------. ------| Credits |---------------------------------------------[hkmew04]------ '---------' There are currently no users from SuperCheats, GameFAQs or Neo Seeker who have helped me create this Walkthrough.
